This Choreo uses your AWS Keys to authenticate your account with Amazon, and sets a lifecycle configuration for your bucket, which is used to remove objects from a bucket automatically after a certain time.
The NumberOfDays input indicates the number of days past creation date that the object will remain in the bucket. After the object hits this expiration date, it will be removed. You can also alternatively specify a DateOfExpiration to indicated the date that you would like the objects to expire.
You can indicate a Prefix which indicates that any object containing the specified prefix will be removed according the lifecycle expiration date provided.
For advanced configuration (such as creating more than one rule, setting a transition instead of expiration option, etc), you can specify the complete LifecycleConfiguration xml tags in the CustomLifecycleConfiguration input, which will overrule all other lifecycle inputs except your AWS AccessKeyId, SecretKeyId, and BucketName.
Here is an example of custom LifecycleConfiguration xml tags in the optional CustomLifecycleConfiguration input:
<LifecycleConfiguration> <Rule> <ID>first-archive-then-expire</ID> <Prefix>glacierobjects/</Prefix> <Status>Enabled</Status> <Transition> <Days>30</Days> <StorageClass>GLACIER</StorageClass> </Transition> <Expiration> <Days>365</Days> </Expiration> </Rule> </LifecycleConfiguration>
The documentation for this S3 resource can be found here.
Note that for a successful lifecycle creation, no content is returned.
