This bundle contains endpoints for user management with Dropbox.

  • Setup Instructions

    • To use these Choreos:

      • You'll need a Dropbox account. If you don't already have one, you can sign up here.
      • Go to the App Console to create your app.
      • When asked to choose an API, select "Dropbox API".
      • Choose the type of access you need, App folder or Full Dropbox.
      • Generate an access token for your account, click the button that says "Generate" in the OAuth 2 section of your app settings page.

      You can use the re-useable access token generated in the step above with all Dropbox choreos, but keep in mind that this token is only for your own account.

      To obtain access tokens for other users, you'll need to follow the steps below using the Dropbox > OAuth choreos:

      • In the OAuth 2 section of your app settings page, specify this callback URL below in one of the Redirect URIs fields. Make sure to replace ACCOUNT_NAME with your Temboo account name.
      https://ACCOUNT_NAME.temboolive.com/callback/dropbox
      • Run the Dropbox > OAuth > InitializeOAuth Choreo, specifying the App Key from the app you registered at Dropbox.
      • Open a new web browser, navigate to the authorization URL returned by the InitializeOAuth Choreo, and click "Accept" to grant the app access to your Dropbox account.
      • Run the Dropbox > OAuth > FinalizeOAuth Choreo, specifying the callback ID returned earlier by the InitializeOAuth Choreo. This process will return an access token that can be uses with the Dropbox API on behalf of your user.

      Completes the OAuth process by retrieving a Dropbox access token, after they have visited the authorization URL returned by the InitializeOAuth choreo and clicked "allow."

      Generates an authorization URL that an application can use to complete the first step in the OAuth process.
