    • ChemicalID EPA ID number of a chemical. Chemical IDs from a given facility can be found by first running the ChemActivityByFacility or ToxinReleaseByFacility Choreos.

    • This Choreo queries the EnviroFacts Data Service API and retrieves information about specified chemicals released by EPA-regulated facilities in the Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) database. A complete description of the EnviroFacts Data Service API can be found here.

      To make best use of the information returned by this Choreo, you should become familiar with the fields that are returned in the output. Here are some example fields and the information they contain:

      • CAAC_IND: Indicates whether the chemical is reportable under the Clean Air Act. Values: 1 = 'Yes', 0 = 'No'.
      • CARC_IND: Indicates whether the chemical is reportable as a carcinogen under the CARC. Values: 1 = 'Yes', 0 = 'No'.
      • CHEM_NAME: The official name of the toxic chemical, toxic chemical mixture, (e.g., xylene mixed isomers), or chemical category according to the EPA.
      • METAL_IND: Indicates whether the chemical is a metal or metal compound. Values: 1 = 'Yes', 0 = 'No'.
