The Price and Calculation section of the Genability API contains various operations for calculating energy prices using various metrics.

    • To use the Choreos in this bundle, you'll need a Genability Application ID, and Application Key, which are used to authenticate your account. To obtain both, register an application, and follow the instructions documented here.

    • TariffTariffs denote rate plans for electricity. Tariffs outline electricity charges, as well to to whom these plans apply to. For example, tariffs can be residential, or general (including commercial, industrial, and specialty) .
    • TerritoryTariffs denote areas of coverage (for tariffs or Load Serving Entities). Areas of coverage could include: Zip code, CIty, County, and State.
    • PricePrice refers to the consumption price of a specified tariff, ranging over a specified dates. Price is similar to Tariff Rate Summary, except that it does not provide rates for non-consumption charges such as, Demand and Fixed.
    • Calculate Calculate stands for the calculation of the electricity price for a specified rate, or pricing plan.
    • Tariff Rate Summary Tariff Rate Summary provides more detailed pricing information than Price (which only returns consumption price information).

      Retrieve inputs required to run a calculation for the specified tariff, within a specified period of time.

      Retrieves the consumption price of a specified Tariff over a given date range.

      Retrieve summarized rates of a specified electricity tariff, in addition to changes in rates over a specified time span.
