Library . Instagram . OAuth

This bundle contains functions to help generate OAuth access tokens for your application's users.

  • Setup Instructions

    • Note: Apps created on the Instagram Platform start in Sandbox mode. Apps in this mode can use any API endpoint but are restricted to a limited number of users and media. For full access to Instagram content, you'll need to submit your application for review and approval. You can find more information about that process here.

      To use the Choreos in this bundle:

      • You'll need an Instagram account. If you don't already have one, download the Instagram app in the App Store on an iOS device or in Google Play for an Android device.
      • Register your application in order to obtain a Instagram Client ID and Client Secret.
      When registering your app at Instagram, specify this callback URL as your "Redirect URI":
      https://{Your Temboo Account Name}.temboolive.com/callback/instagram
      If you've already created your OAuth credentials, you can modify your Redirect URI by going here.
      • Run the InitializeOAuth Choreo, specifying the Client ID and Client Secret from the app you registered at Instagram. The InitializeOAuth Choreo will return an authorization URL and a callback ID (required for the FinalizeOAuth step).
      • Open a new web browser, navigate to the authorization URL returned by the InitializeOAuth Choreo, and click "allow" to grant the app access to your Instagram account.
      • Run the FinalizeOAuth Choreo, specifying the callback ID returned earlier by the InitializeOAuth Choreo, to obtain an OAuth access token that can be used to access the Instagram API.
